The Virginia Small Business Alliance (VSBA)

Building the Future of Innovation—From the Ground Up

Who We Are

  • Founder-Led

The Venture Alliance is a founder-led, community-powered ecosystem initiative—starting in Virginia—designed to prototype a living infrastructure for innovation, collaboration, and capital alignment.

  • Unique Connections

We are not a traditional network—we are building an operational framework that matches talent, capital, and opportunity within and across states.

  • Starting with Virginia

We’re starting lean, as a Virginia-based LLC, with a vision to evolve into a DAO-aligned, co-op-spirited, nationally scaled federated platform that empowers contributors to build the future of work, innovation, and entrepreneurship—together.

Where We Are Now

Virginia is our pilot chapter, serving as a proving ground for what a regenerative entrepreneurial ecosystem can look like.

  • Our legal structure as an LLC gives us flexibility to build fast and adapt as we go—while preparing for an eventual transition to a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC) with a federated chapter model.

Our initial capital alignment strategy is built around the Tom Farrell II Legacy Fund, a Virginia-based capital vehicle focused on mobilizing early-stage resources for pilots, programs, and underrepresented founders.

What We’re Building

✔ A talent and contributor network

that aligns people to opportunity—real startup and SMB project initiatives across sectors.

✔ A governance and funding layer

using DAO mechanics and co-op values to ensure shared ownership and transparency.

 ✔ A state-by-state chapter model

where each region retains its unique identity while contributing to national infrastructure.

 ✔ A regenerative economic system

that tracks both ROI (return on investment) and ROV (return on values).

Why It Matters

Today’s innovation pipelines are fragmented and transactional.

The Venture Alliance is creating a participatory system, where underrepresented entrepreneurs, civic leaders, funders, and institutions can collaborate through clear structures, aligned capital, and transparent governance.

We’re not building another program. We’re building the rails for a new kind of economy—powered by purpose, accountability, and co-creation.

What We’re Asking For

We are seeking early collaborators, pilot funders, and aligned institutions who see the opportunity to build the foundation with us.

  • Contribute time, expertise, or capital to our founding Opportunity Blocks.

  • Join our membership and advisory group to help shape the infrastructure.
